  Art at Wilson is developing fine motor skills, self expression, creativity, and an appreciation for other cultures.

     And, while we have a light-filled classroom space for achieving these goals, art isn't limited to the dedicated art classroom time every grade-level receives. Wilson students also experience art in social studies, French, and technology classes, just to name a few, through the myriad of integrated learning curricula our wonderful faculty have developed. Wilson students also explore art and art history at the nearby St. Louis Art Museum, as well as other cultural institutions. Our children learn that art is everywhere!   We believe every child possesses the potential for artistry in music, so we make it a priority for them to discover, enjoy, and understand it in every stage of their life at Wilson.

     Learning to play the xylophone, recorder, guitar, and five types of drums (in a percussion ensemble, no less!). Performing in a musical directed by the composer. Composing one's own music. Using innovative digital recording tools. These are experiences not of a select few at Wilson, but of every single student. Much like learning coding in technology, learning composition skills in music enables our students to become creators.
